My grandma (Grand) (on my mother side) was a member of the Spiritualist Church, she believed, in mediums (a practitioner who makes contact with spirits), the other-side (spirit world) and that there was life after-death. She believed in God and believed that anyone could tap into the universal power of God. She would always say “ask the forces for help” (not a Star Wars reference). My mom was also a believer but did not have the faith my Grand had.
As soon as I was old enough to talk, I would always question everything my mother asked of me, trying to tell her had to do things. By the time I was four she ask my Grand what to do about it. Grand went to one of the Mediums at her church and was told to tell my mom that she need to tell me that she was the mother this time and I was the child. When she did that I replied “okay will try it that way for now”! And my questioning of her just stopped.
I believe we chose our life when we are in spirit form, you pick out your parents, and even some of your friends, based on what your life lessons could teach you in order for your soul to develop. Your spirit knew there would be challenges but nothing that you couldn’t handle. I believe lessons are repeated until learned.
I believe that once you have learned everything from your life, you leave this world and return to the other-side where your spirit will eventually choose another life based on the lessons the spirit still need to learn. One of my favorite books is called Life Is A Game And These Are The Rules: 10 rules about being Human by Cheri Carter-Scott PhD. Rule # 10 is my favorite….You will forget all of this at birth. Spirit is the accumulation of all the lives we’ve lived.
